FAQ

Q: How do I begin working with Special Solutions?
A:
Contact us by phone or e-mail. During our first meeting, we will discuss your current situation, dreams and fears as well as the details. John will help you set up a plan to conquer your fears and reach your dreams.

Q: Is there a fee associated with working with an Advocate?
A:
The Candid Look™ meeting is complementary. During this meeting we will discuss all eight steps of the Protected Tomorrows® Process and the fees related to what needs to be accomplished..

Q: How long does the process take?
A:
We are here to work with you until all of your concerns are addressed and your needs are taken care of. The length of this process is totally dependent upon what you and your special needs family member need.

Q: Do we have to go through the entire process, or can we do parts of it?
A: Once we know your unique circumstances, we can help you determine which parts of the process apply to you and which can be saved for a later date. Each family situation is unique so some may do all steps and while others may only complete one or two.

Q: I already have an estate plan. What is left to do?
A: The use of the Protected Tomorrows® process is much more encompassing and specific for special needs than an estate plan. We will help you create a Future Care Plan™ for your loved one's education, employment, recreation, housing and retirement that will become part of your estate plan.

Q: All I want to do is get information on benefits and how I can get additional benefits for my family member. Do you have a resource for that?
A:
Just contact us and we can direct you to our Benefits Processing Center.

Q: I am a member of a support group. Can an Advocate speak to my group about life planning and benefits?
A: You can request a presentation by John at an event or group meeting by by filling out our inquiry form. We also conduct one or two-day workshops for groups of people who would like to work through the Protected Tomorrows® process together. This is a great opportunity to get the benefit of our process with the support of your peers.
